Kiandra becomes OutSystems Premier Partner

Kiandra acquired the status of OutSystems Premier Partner, the most important partnership grade from the low-code development platform.

OutSystems Premier Partner is a designation given to companies that have demonstrated a high level of expertise in developing and delivering software solutions using OutSystems. The low-code platform enables companies to rapidly develop and deploy web and mobile applications.

To become an OutSystems Premier Partner, a company must meet certain criteria, including demonstrating expertise in delivering OutSystems-based solutions, having a strong track record of customer success, and investing in OutSystems-related training and certifications for developers.

Being an OutSystems Premier Partner will enable Kiandra to access additional resources, support, and training from OutSystems, which can help further expand its capabilities. It also provides clients with a level of assurance that the partner they are working with has the expertise and experience to deliver high-quality OutSystems solutions.

Kiandra and OutSystems Kiandra began its partnership with OutSystems in late 2017. By 2018, Kiandra received OutSystems ANZ Partner of the Year award. At this point, low-code was still in its infancy and the award signified This award recognised Kiandra’s capability to undertake the big projects that enable the next wave of disruption and innovation. Since 2017, the relationship has blossomed with Kiandra being awarded the OutSystems Partner of the Year in again in 2019 and winning the OutSystems Global Innovation Award for Legacy Application Modernisation in 2019. Recently, Kiandra acquired Partner of the Year 2021 OutSystems Innovation Award 2022‍

In 2021, Kiandra was awarded the OutSystems Quality Apps Badge, The new badge is awarded to OutSystems partners who deliver an application that is of a high quality from a technical and user experience perspective. ,The Quality Apps Badge is a new milestone in Kiandra’s partnership and highlights the level of expertise and quality we offer our clients.

Kiandra also released a highly lauded OutSystems Tutorial Series with Kiandra Software Development Lead, Stuart Harris. The series of instructional videos explains how developers can best leverage the platform.

The partnership between OutSystems and Kiandra has led to several successful solutions and award-winning projects. Kiandra has been awarded for building critical systems and solutions for global shipping specialists MONSON and Western Australia (WA) Health For MONSON, the project aim was to digitally transform the global shipping giant to escape legacy debt and delight its customers.

Monique Constantino, MONSON CMO said, “As product owner, I was amazed at the speed and apparent ease of development. Kiandra would take a requirement away and be right back to us with a prototype demonstration we could discuss and refine. OutSystems provided the speed that made our collaboration so successful.” The solution has enabled MONSON to become a force in servicing customers before, during, and beyond the port. MONSON estimate the time saving for its Port Operations staff is approximately two hours per day per user on this task specifically – that potentially equates to 140 hours of productivity per day across all its sites.

Another OutSystems and Kiandra success story is with client WA Health. WA Health needed a legacy modernisation – a re-development of an invoice verification platform to meet the current functionalities of a new government system.

By using the low-code platform, Kiandra was able to rapidly cut down the build time. While previous estimates had pegged the project as requiring 12 months or longer using traditional development tools, Kiandra were able to develop, test and launch the new system in only five months.

The new system has also delivered significant cost savings, with the WA Health reporting a drop in annual costs from $1.2 million to $400,000, a 66% reduction overall.

Recent projects and beyond

One of the most recent projects power couple OutSystems and Kiandra teamed up on was with the disability centred job platform theField.jobs. To build the Field, Kiandra leveraged the low-code platform OutSystems due to its ease of customisation. It also used Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as a benchmark for the platform’s overall accessibility. The Field is a job site like no other – it simplifies the disability-inclusive employment process for both candidates and employers. The Field disrupts traditional hiring practices to break down barriers to actively connect people with disability wanting to work, with employers wanting to hire inclusively. While there are more projects currently being worked on, Kiandra and OutSystems have proved to be a formidable duo and will continue to shape our digital world with first-rate solutions for years to come.
