OutSystems Innovation Award 2022
Software development provider, Kiandra, has received the 2022 OutSystems Innovation Award – recognising its work in building a new end-to-end, in-house shipping agency application and industry-first API for global shipping specialists, MONSON.
The solution Kiandra developed is a fully custom-built shipping agency application built on the rich low-code OutSystems platform. MONSON Chief Marketing Officer Monique Costantino calls it, “Innovation beyond the port!”
Kiandra Co-Found, Martin Cooperwaite says this application has saved MONSON 140 hours of productivity per day.
“The solution Kiandra developed is a fully custom-built shipping agency application developed on the OutSystems low-code platform.
“The approach for MONSON was to automate and streamline processes, leverage the security, performance, speed to market and reduced risk of the platform, and apply an intelligent rules engine, automated document generation and a laytime calculator.”This solution was a complete overhaul and modernisation.
MONSON’s legacy SaaS-based solution was ageing, unable to scale and a barrier to enabling competitive advantage.Monique says the aim was to build their application from the ground up to replace their old system. By owning the IP instead of leveraging another company’s SaaS product, they would have complete control over the feature set.
“Being custom-made and built on secure modern cloud architecture, a new system would enable MONSON to gain a competitive advantage and expand its customer base and shipping offerings to top-tier commodity traders across the globe,” said MONSON CMO, Monique Costantino.
This is Kiandra’s fifth OutSystems award, it previously received the Partner of the Year Award for 2018 and 2019, and the 2019 and 2021 Global Innovation Awards.
