An AI chatbot transforms an elderly care platform and helps secure investment

A caregiving technology company had built a platform to help caregivers access treatment information and healthcare resources. The experience was functional, but static. Users had to work to find what they needed, and the platform offered little personalisation. To grow, the client needed to demonstrate genuine AI capability, to both users and potential investors. The goal was to integrate an intelligent chatbot that could give caregivers instant, tailored guidance on treatments, diagnostics, and healthcare providers, transforming a passive tool into an active support system.

Svitla built an AI-powered chatbot and integrated it directly into the client's existing application. The chatbot draws on a structured knowledge database covering healthcare facilities, conditions, doctor information, and other relevant data, delivering contextually relevant answers rather than generic search results.

The solution was built on Google Cloud, with Vertex AI Vector Search handling knowledge retrieval and OpenAI's GPT models powering conversational capability. LangChain connects the various data sources, including client inputs and chat histories, enabling the chatbot to maintain context across a conversation. Following launch, Svitla optimised the system to reduce operational costs, refine data management, and improve the chatbot's memory so it could recall previous interactions and deliver a more personalised experience over time.
